Bernadette Talese is a well educated and highly experienced music teacher specialising in children’s developmental music as well as piano, musicianship and music theory. She is an accredited teacher and is affiliated with KMEIA ( Do-Re-Mi) and is qualified with the Associate Diploma in Music Teaching (NSW Conservatorium of Music / University of Sydney) as well as both the Early Childhood and Primary Certificates in Kodaly Music Education (KMEIA). Bernadette has over thirty years teaching experience in a variety of situations which include pre-schools, high schools, community halls and her own studio where she is currently teaching. Do-Re-Mi classes include singing, movement, dance, listening, rhythm activities, musical games, percussion instruments, and ultimately, reading, writing, creating and performing. Quality equipment is used in a vibrant, interactive learning environment and many important skills are developed including musical, listening, memory, co-ordination and socialisation. Children develop confidence, self esteem and a sense of well being through an engaging program with lots of fun. Do-Re Mi classes cater for 0 – 8 year olds. The benefits of the Kodaly Method continue with piano and musicianship. Private lessons in piano and musicianship are available for children from 6 years age through to adults. Lessons are offered for both exam preparation and recreation.
