Singing can be learned by anyone (unless there is physical damage). We are inherently musical, and at any age developing that musicality can bring great joy and satisfaction. Most vocal problems can be fixed, sometimes easily, and sometimes requiring a willingness to take some time. Luckily it’s fun taking that time. Finding your Voice offers individual singing lessons, songwriting courses (next one in January 2017), and workshops. Raelene also conducts the community choir, Working Voices. Raelene will also work with groups of 2 – 4 students if you are a band or group of friends who wish to learn together (90 minute lessons usually). She brings a wealth of experience as a singer songwriter and storyteller, a teacher a Registered Music Therapist, a lover of song and singing, to your lessons, and will work with you to help you meet YOUR musical goals. Learn to sing in tune, discover what your voice can do, develop performance skills, discover an avenue for self expression, discover new styles you can sing in, develop your range, learn how to sing both strongly and/or subtly, explore vocal health, and work towards some other music or non-musical goal through singing or songwriting. Initial one hour lesson $80. Blocks of six x 1hr lessons $420 Blocks of four x 1hr lessons $300 8 week songwriting course $300 – $400 (depending on earlybird etc…) See website.
