Grow With Music

Grow With Music offers a comprehensive Suzuki Early Years Education, Cello Tuition and Teacher Training programme, providing quality learning and development opportunities for newborns, babies, toddlers and beyond together with families. Grow With Music was established in East Fremantle, Western Australia, in 1995 by Emma O’Keefe, inspired by the Philosophy of Dr. Shinichi Suzuki. At Grow With Music, we believe in the unlimited learning potential of every child from birth, and that families are children’s first and most important teachers. We are committed to the principles, practices and outcomes of children’s learning and development as outlined in the Early Years Learning Framework for Australia (COAG,2009) and draw upon them in our planning, teaching, documentation, shared reflection, and in our collaborative partnerships with parents. We value the importance of a nurturing environment and building secure, supportive relationships to foster successful learning in young children across the developmental domains – socio-emotional, cognitive, physical, linguistic, creative and spiritual. We believe in respecting and responding to children as strong, capable, active, diverse, and competent learners, and our curriculum grows with them as their ideas, understandings and skills develop. “We engage in human education through music so that children will grow with beautiful hearts and high sensitivity, through an unparalleled, uniquely musical approach.” Dr. Shinichi Suzuki
